Strengthening Connections: Dr. Richard Harding Attends the 2026 AAES Annual Meeting

American Association of Endocrine Surgeons 46th Annual Meeting

Dr. Richard Harding recently returned from the 46th American Association of Endocrine Surgeons (AAES) Annual Meeting, held in Lexington, Kentucky.

From April 18–20, 2026, global leaders in the field gathered under the theme "Strengthening Our Connections." The meeting served as a vital hub for sharing groundbreaking research and clinical advancements that directly impact how we treat thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and neuroendocrine disorders.

Bringing Global Innovations Home to Phoenix

For Dr. Harding, attending the AAES meeting is more than just professional development—it’s about bringing evidence-based excellence back to our community.

"The opportunity to collaborate with the world's foremost endocrine surgeons and bring back the latest surgical techniques is invaluable for providing the highest level of care to my patients," says Dr. Harding.

Key highlights from this year’s conference included:

  • The Future of AI: Expert panels explored the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in endocrine surgery, enhancing diagnostic precision and surgical planning.

  • Updated Standards: Deep dives into the new American Thyroid Association (ATA) Guidelines to ensure our clinical practices remain current and effective.

  • Advanced Research: Scientific sessions focused on peer-reviewed clinical papers regarding complex adrenalectomies and neuroendocrine tumor treatments.

A Commitment to Minimally Invasive Care

As a pioneer in minimally invasive thyroid care and the Medical Director of the Thyroid Nodule Treatment Center, Dr. Harding’s participation underscores his dedication to non-surgical alternatives. His work with techniques like RFA (Radiofrequency Ablation) and nsPFA (Nanosecond Pulsed Field Ablation) remains a cornerstone of our practice's mission to offer patient-centered, effective alternatives to traditional surgery.
