A few months ago after a biopsy on a Thyroid nodule, I was told by a neck surgeon that it needed to be removed asap. I was uncomfortable about this diagnosis and the way it was explained to me that I decided to do a little research and see what information I could find on my own. That is when I came across Dr Harding on You Tube. I was so impressed with him that I made an appt and a few weeks later I drove from So CA to Phoenix, AZ to see him. I knew my insurance would not cover me in AZ but after having seen him on You Tube I knew he was the Dr I needed to see. I saw him yesterday 8/1, and it was the most awesome and informative meeting I have ever had with a Dr. I am 79 and I have known many Drs but Dr Harding is beyond compare. He performed another biopsy and totally and humbly explained my situation in a way that only a great Dr could. Dr. Harding removed a parathyroid almost two years ago. I have two years worth of blood testing to know all is still good after surgery. The area on my neck looked bad for a little while (month maybe), but it didn't take much time before I couldn't even see it. It is amazing that no one would know I had any surgery and I have a very long neck, so it would show. There was an issue with billing at the hospital, but not really an office issue and was resolved. Because the surgery was so great and would get even more than 5 stars I won't take down any stars for anything.

Dr. Harding is a very thorough doctor. He takes the time to explain all options and what the side effects may be given each option. He gives you his expert opinion on what he believes the best option is for your case. I feel very comfortable taking his advice.

Amazingly qualified! Dr. Harding was the answer to our prayers. My sister had been suffering with Cushing Disease and he quickly had her in surgery and she woke up so improved. Highly recommend him!

I can’t speak highly enough about Dr. Harding and his staff. After receiving a shocking and scary thyroid cancer diagnosis, I contacted his office. Dr. Harding quickly got me in for a consult, answered our countless questions and quickly put us at ease. Before I knew it, I was out of surgery with a nearly painless thyroidectomy and lymph node removal. I had minimal pain (surprisingly!), and felt great within a couple days. My scarring is minimal a few weeks out and as time passes I expect it to be unnoticeable. No one wants cancer, but if this happens to you you definitely want Dr. Harding in your corner. I had a great experience with the Thyroid RFA procedure. Before the Thyroid RFA procedure, I was having issues swallowing and experiencing a frequent cough. However, after undergoing the Thyroid RFA procedure, my nodule shrunk and my symptoms have completely resolved. I felt very comfortable during the procedure. To me, pursuing the option of RFA made a lot more sense than conventional surgery, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. I felt like I was in good hands with Dr. Harding- he is phenomenal!

Dr. Harding is a very caring and thoughtful doctor. He always has a nice smile on his face and carries a good energy. He was willing to work with me the patient in order to figure out a “game plan”. From my first visit with Dr. Harding to my post-op follow up visit I felt that I was working with an experienced and professional surgeon! I chose the Thyroid RFA procedure, as opposed to traditional surgery, for several reasons. For one, I wanted to purse a minimally invasive route. Additionally, I wanted to avoid surgery in the hospital setting, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. I had no apprehension with pursuing Thyroid RFA. The procedure itself was painless once the local anesthetic took effect, and afterwards I only had minor neck tenderness that improved with Tylenol. Since the procedure, my vocal hoarseness and swallowing has improved significantly. Dr. Harding is very knowledgeable and the staff are professional. I would recommend getting evaluated to determine if you are a good candidate for the Thyroid RFA procedure.

I had a Lipoma on my sacroiliac and no one knew what to do to help me. When I went to Dr. Harding he knew what it was and said he knew how to help me. He did my surgery, there were no complications and I healed well.

I developed a large nodule on my neck that was making it difficult for me to swallow. This growth made it uncomfortable to exercise as well since it affected my breathing.Dr. Harding performed RFA on my nodule, and almost instantly, I felt like a new person. My discomfort and insecurity disappeared that same day and the nodule was noticeably smaller within the first week.It has been 8 months since the procedure and my nodule has been reduced by about 75%. Dr. Harding performed RFA on my large, benign thyroid nodule in March of 2020. From my first visit with him, I knew I was in good hands. He took a lot of time with me explaining the procedure and answering all of my questions. He is very professional but also friendly. While in his care, I have felt that he genuinely is concerned about my well being. My RFA procedure went very well. I was only his 3rd patient in the U.S. to have RFA but he and his staff put me at ease. Richard Harding, is a fine Surgeon, knowledgeable concise to the point delivers it in his own words. You can understand, with a reasonable professional bedside manner, he's busy because he has a reputation of being a healer, I would recommend him for any of your surgeries that he specializes in. He works out of a 1930's old renovated home in the downtown Phoenix district. It's very comfortable and the staff is very professional. What's nice about his business is I didn't feel like I was being treated like a 21st-century medical profession where everything is so sterile and by the book and insurance , insurance. It was kind of like when I used to visit the doctor when I was a kid, very friendly staff - very friendly and knowledgeable.

When the day came to have surgery I had no stress and felt completely comfortable which is rare for having surgery. Everyone on his staff from the front desk to his surgery scheduler are awesome. My only regret as I know longer need a endroconologist so I won’t be seeing him again

Dr. Harding removed my gallbladder on Christmas Eve! I was in so much pain. After the surgery I felt a lot better and was able to go home with little pain!! Thank you Dr. Harding!!!

After messing around with some doctors back in Iowa for three months trying to identify which of my parathyroids was not functioning properly, I decided to make the move to Arizona and meet with Dr. Harding. I had researched surgeons out here very thoroughly and Dr. Harding was one of the top three rated surgeons in the area. Upon my first visit, he was able to identify which parathyroid was functioning improperly and we scheduled surgery. The surgery went extremely well and he actually remove two of my parathyroids and a small tumor. I must say I have not felt better in a long time. I have 100% confidence and Dr. Harding’s ability and would highly recommend him if you are needing surgery.

My experiences with this doctor in this practice were very good. Dr Harding is an excellent physician who takes time to answer your questions and reassure you that you are in good hands. My surgery, wound care, healing were all up to par. He was recommended to me by my endocrinologist, and as an RN, I would recommend Dr Harding to anyone who’s looking for an endocrinology surgery. My surgery was removal of parathyroid gland. Everything went well, and the surgical outcome was great. Everything went exactly as the doctor said it would, and there were no surprises.

Dr. Harding performed surgery on me to remove a parathyroid gland about a year ago. That was my first surgery so I was quite nervous. However, Dr. Harding's bedside manner put me right at ease. Dr. Harding answered all my questions and more prior to surgery. He explained what to expect, listened patiently to my concerns and responded 100% to my questions. He and his staff were wonderful. The operating team came in to again explain what would be happening, and came out during surgery to let family know how it was going. I will be going back next week for the post-follow-up. I didn't need any pain medication and was eating normally that night. He and his team did a fantastic job on me.

Dr Harding performed hernia surgery and did an excellent job. He also detected an enlarged lymph node and immediately performed a biopsy. His concern and attention was crucial in detection of my lymphoma.
