Gastric Resection Open
Open gastric resection is a traditional surgical approach used to remove part or all of the stomach in patients with conditions such as gastric cancer, severe ulcers, or benign tumors.

Performed through a single abdominal incision, this method allows for direct visualization and access to the stomach and surrounding structures, making it especially appropriate for complex or advanced cases.
While recovery may be longer than with minimally invasive techniques, open gastric resection remains a safe and effective option when precise control and full exposure are required.
At Arizona Endocrine Surgery, each case is carefully evaluated to determine the most appropriate surgical approach based on the patient’s condition and overall health.
