Antireflux Surgery - da Vinci

Antireflux surgery using the da Vinci® robotic system is a minimally invasive procedure designed to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) by restoring the natural barrier between the stomach and esophagus. Through a few small incisions, the surgeon uses robotic-assisted instruments to perform a precise Nissen fundoplication, wrapping the upper part of the stomach around the lower esophagus to prevent acid reflux.

The da Vinci system offers enhanced 3D visualization, superior dexterity, and greater control, resulting in less postoperative pain, fewer complications, and a faster recovery compared to traditional open surgery.
